A Hybrid Project : “Sound of Life in London” (4.13mins) Moving Image, 2014
When I moved to London from Japan, I was shocked at the many different kinds of noises I heard in the city. Compared to Tokyo, I feel London has a greater variety of sounds.
In this project, I recorded all the London sounds that interested me. I created patterns by marbling as a response to hearing each sound. I then combined them into a movie to express my impression of this urban environment.
